Welcome to my travels . . .

I travel a lot. Always have . . . always will. My first trip on a plane was when I was one-year-old. My first trip out of the country was when I was two-years-old. Since then, I have visited all fifty states and over 40 countries. Like I said, I travel a lot.

I am fortunate in that I own a small business which has given me many opportunities to see the world. Since I own my business, I am usually on my own schedule. I might go to Europe or Asia for a client, but I have always found time to hang around a little and explore my surroundings. Too much of corporate America (or the corporate world) frowns upon lingering away from the office for any longer than necessary. Too many people miss out on too many fine adventures because Mr. Dithers requires his employees come home right away.

I am a technical trainer by trade, and a photographer too. Ever since my dad bought me my first camera (Zeiss Icon 35mm SLR) in 1970, I have been making photographs of my travels. These days, I spend much of my time on the road with my laptop, Nikon 35mm DSLR, or Samsung Galaxy smart phone, teaching technical classes to technical people, and making photographs when I’m I’m not in a classroom.

In my lifetime, I have lived in nine states and have lived in Germany for several extended periods. I have never been to a place where I didn’t find beauty and interest.

I now live in Colorado with my wife Linda. I don’t see myself moving anymore. Colorado is everything I have wanted in my life. From here until . . . I will continue to travel the world and write about and photograph the places I go.
