We have the first day of our adventure scheduled. We also have the 28th day of our trip scheduled. Now all we need to do is figure out where we will wander for twenty-six days in between.
Tab Bonoit
One of Linda’s favorite guitarists is Tab Benoit. Tab is a phenomenal blues guitarist from Baton Rogue, Louisiana. We’ve seen him in concert before and were blown away by his music. It turns out, he’s playing in concert on May 29th, in Silver City, New Mexico.

Linda wants to see Tab in concert again. We needed a starting point for our trip. So last week, while sitting around planning our trip, we bought tickets. We then found a campsite nearby where we can park Bucky, settle in for an hour, walk to the concert, cram into the Whiskey Creek Zocalo bar, and groove all night.
We will leave Silver City the next morning and head to Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas and Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. We plan on boondocking for a couple of days around the two parks before heading east into the heart of Texas.
Joe Bonamassa
My favorite guitarist (maybe of all time) is Joe Bonamassa. If you’ve never heard him play, you’re missing out.

Soon after we bought our tickets for Tab in New Mexico, I found out that Joe is playing in Bethel Woods (remember Woodstock), New York. The concert is on June 26th. I bought two tickets and found a few Harvest Hosts locations nearby where we can stay.
Our trip is taking shape. We now have a starting date (May 29), a date to be in New York (June 26), and almost a month to drive what what could be done in a car in 35 hours.
The adventure begins. Stay tuned for more . . .
